POOL CHANGEROOM MAKEOVER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The following works will be included as part of the makeover:  

• Replacement of indoor changeroom ceiling. 
• Shower partitions - replacement of all shower partitions, including doors and locks. 
• Painting of partitions of all toilet cubicles and replacement of door locks. 
• Updating urinals (outdoor pool changerooms). 
• Converting indoor urinals to individual troughs (indoor pool changerooms). 
• Re-grouting all indoor shower tiling and re-tiling indoor and outdoor family changerooms (walls). 
• Updating the skirting in the outdoor male and female changerooms. 
• Repainting changerooms ceilings and areas above existing tiles. 
• Replacement of all shower fittings, soap holders in showers, hand dryers and floor mats. 

Please note, works completed will be a refresh/makeover and do not include a full refurbishment. 

These works were presented to City of Joondalup Council in response to feedback received in our annual Customer Satisfaction Survey and as part of our ongoing commitment to deliver high-quality facilities to the community.

• Improve functionality and appearance of pool changerooms.
• Modernise the pool changeroom facilities.
• Improve the aesthetics of pool changerooms.

Yes, while the works are being completed to the indoor pool changerooms, the outdoor pool changerooms will be available. The indoor pool changerooms will then be reopened and available when the work commences in the outdoor changerooms. 

The centre’s dry side changerooms will also be available during this time.

Both indoor and outdoor pools and swimming lessons will continue as normal during this time.  

Members and customers should be prepared for minor noise disruptions during the works.  

There will be no impact to swimming lessons during this time. Customers are encouraged to plan their visit and enough time to access alternate changerooms prior to and after your lessons.
