What does an ongoing program involve?

The Leisure Centres swimming lessons are an ongoing program with progressive development.  Classes are held weekly with your fees debited from your account on a fortnightly basis.  Once you are enrolled, you will not be required to re-enrol again, unless you withdraw your enrolment and decide to re-join the program at a later date. There is no fee to cancel your enrolment however you must provide seven days notice.

What lessons are available?

The Leisure Centres offers lessons seven days a week, with a variety of classes and times available. View the class availability.

Are there any breaks in the ongoing program for school holidays?

Swimming lessons at the Leisure Centre - Craigie are ongoing with a six week break in the December/January school holidays and a two week break in the July school holidays. Lessons will continue weekly at all other times throughout the year.

Do classes run on public holidays?

There are no classes on public holidays.

What is the cost of lessons? 

You will be required to make a pro-rata payment at the time of your online enrolment.  View the fortnightly swimming lesson prices.

How do I enrol? 

You can enrol online at anytime into a class with vacancies.

Is there a waitlist? 

There is a waitlist for classes, however it is only available for children who are currently enrolled in the program and require movement to the next level. 

If you would like to change your enrolment for any other reason or book into a class that is currently not available please check our website periodically for vacancies as they arise.

What do I need to bring to my lesson? 

Please bring swimmers, towel and goggles. For Babies and Parent/Child classes, it is recommended that parents wear a rash vest and it is a requirement for babies to wear swimmer nappies. All equipment is provided. Visit the Pro Shop for swimwear, goggles and swimmer nappies.

What do I do if my child misses a lesson? 

A Swim School Practice Pass for one family swim will be issued for missed lessons.  Practice passes have an expiry of two months from the time of issue. Credits, refunds and make up lessons are not available for missed lessons.

What level do I enrol my child in? 

Use our easy Level Finder to determine your child’s level or book online for a free assessment to ensure they are placed in the correct level. 

How do I cancel my swimming lesson booking?

To cancel from the program login to MyFit and submit the online cancelation form.  Remember to allow seven days notice as not to incur the next direct debit charges.

What qualifications do the swimming instructors have? 

All teachers hold an Austswim qualification or equivalent, CPR/Resuscitation certificate and Working With Children check.

Do you offer private lessons? 

Private lessons are not available at the Leisure Centre - Craigie.
